Transfer of Equity

Solomons Solicitors

Transfer of Equity is the term given to the process whereby a property is transferred from joint names to sole names or vice versa.  For example it is common when a couple marry and one party has a property in their sole name and would like to add their spouse to the deeds.

Transfer of Equity can also be used after a separation or divorce as the parties may wish to remove a name from the property deeds.
